I/ Reorder the following steps to make a good strategy while sitting an exam a. Read and analyse the questions themselves – carefully. Think about every word in the question and consider what the examiner requires. b. Make a quick and very rough draft of the main points you intend to cover for each answer. c. Allow 10 minutes at the end of the examination to read through your answers, correcting any mistakes, adding further clarification that you may have forgotten originally, re-writing any words that are illegible. d. Keep an eye on the clock. Do not spend too long on one question at the expense of the others. e. If you are running out of time, structure your response in note form or bullet points – anything is better than nothing. f. Start writing. Most people find it best to start with the ‘easy’ questions. g. Give yourself a minute or two rest in between answers to gather your thoughts and also relax your eyes and writing hand. h. It is worth remembering that practice makes perfect. At the end of the examination, and also when you obtain your results, reflect on the process and identify ways in which you can improve your examination performance.
