Tu as rédigé ces phrases sur les mesures prises parle gouvernement anglais pendant le Blitz. Il y a tropde répétitions. Réécris-les sans jamais répéter The government.
→ Afin de dire les mêmes choses sans employer "the government", on peut utiliser la voix passive
Le COD de la voix active devient sujet de la voix passive
Le sujet de la voix active ( 'The government' ) devient complément d'agent, mais puisqu'il est sous-entendu, il ne sera pas exprimé
BE ( au temps de la voix active ) + participe passé
Toutes les phrases sont au prétérit ( was/were + participe passé )
a. The government gave gas masks to the population.
→ Gas masks were given to the population.
b. The government evacuated a lot of women and children from London.
→ A lot of women and children were evacuated from London.
c. The government offered an anti-bomb shelter to every family.
→ An anti-bomb shelter was offered to every family.
d. The government encouraged people to sleep in the subway stations at night.
→ People were encouraged to sleep in the subway stations at night.
e. The government collected a lot of spoons, forks and knives to transform them into missiles.
→ A lot of spoons, forks and knives were collected to transform them into missiles.
