- Mr Teach went (go) on a school trip to England. But he and his group got (get) stopped in Dover because of the flu virus.

- Did they get stuck at the toll for a long time?

- They had (have) to wait until everybody was examined by doctors. - - Did anyone  have a temperature? No, they were (be) lucky!"​

verbe + -d

se terminant en "sh", "ch", "o", "x" = + -ed

se terminant consonne + -y = -ied

doublement de consonnes pour les verbes se terminant par consonne /voyelle/consonne = stopped

preterit irrégulier

pas de solution miracle =>  à apprendre par cœur !!

Interrogation / négations

On emploie le prétérit de l'auxilaire "do" qui est "did"

Puisque l'auxiliaire est conjugué au prétérit, le verbe retrouve sa Base Verbale
