READING COMPREHENSION: LILU'S DAY TRIP TO LEEDS
Lilu went to the train station. bought her ticket and got on the
train She was going to Leeds to meet her husband When she
arrived. she went to Saint Bart's church and fed some pigeons
there. She always enjoyed that. She sat in the sun with the pigeons
at her feet. Later, she went to Harvey Nichols café It is an
outdoor café, right next to the store. She took her mobile phone
out of her pocket and put it on the table, waiting for her husband
to call. She put her handbag on the floor beside her seat and
ordered coffee and cake. Soon, her husband arrived and he ordered
a beer. They spent a pleasant half-hour together. Hubby paid for
the cake and drinks and then he returned to work. Lilu bent down to
get her bag - but it wasn't there! It had been stolen! The café manager came and he rang the
police. The police said that unfortunately, there was a gang in town, going round, stealim
handbags. The manager was upset that the bog had been taken in his café and he apologised w
